Leo is the Lion today....at Sheryls house...with Family and good food.

....Nestors Graduation Party...YAY

Nestor Graduates from Cal Baptist and we all celebrate with awesome homemade food from his family. His Mom and Dad, and sister , chopped and diced, and Bar B Que'd for a backyard filled with about 70 hungry friends and family.....Aside from Nestor being the star of the day, that prize would go to his Mom, who is a fantastic cook......Lindsay did alot of translating that afternoon, but I held my own, I'd like to think, anyway.....my high school Spanish comes in very handy, and especially around good food......oh yes, and there was cake.....yummy cake, and just eneough for everyone to have a piece. Kevin and I did our part with providing the space for tables and chairs, and a small space for some groovy dancing. We are very proud of our Nestor, and he tells me he is researching just the right career for himself. He will be top notch, whatever he decides.

JuneBug and Pat next to family pic at Popa's House

Well Kevin finally made it to Popa's House for dinner, after waiting along the curb, at the giant mechanical gates to "The Meadows" mobile home park in Riverside. Yes, as JuneBug, Pat, and myself were wondering where he was, we remembered that it would be tricky for him to get through the gates without a code number, and forget about calling us......he doesn't own a cell phone. (his choice). Our Popa, My Dad passed away a year ago May, but Pat his wife, (my mom lives in No. Cal with her husband, Tim) always asks us to dinner and still cooks great, I might add. My Dad and Pat lived in this Mobile Home park for many years. We celebrated Birthdays, Easters, and the best Christmas Eve's ever. ( Popa was always Santa to our kids, and my nieces and nephews). When I visit now I notice his chair, the large sofa, all the furniture, their blue and white kichen, and of course "The Belly Up". ......Kevin got through the gates while following residents in,knocked on the door,and was greeted as usual with Love from Pat, and a refreshing "seven & seven"......just like old times.........we miss our Popa

Nothing like getting together occassionally with friends in the middle of the week, especially when the food was yummy, and the company was silly, just like me. Sheryl, Leo, and myself went to our friend Kristi's house to enjoy a beautiful table , courtesy of MaryRose, along with Pasta and salad , Bruschetta, and mouthwatering Chocolate Cake with Strawberries......all lovingly prepared by Kristy. MaryRose's Mom, Diana joined us, and I know she enjoyed the beverages I brought,she said "it took her back"...we all need that once in awhile. Leo had so much fun with Madison and Riley, laughing and chasing, and finally watching Gammy singing with everyone to Jingles of old movies. I can't wait to watch " Viva Las Vegas" with him....he has to know the real Elvis. Such a nice afternoon...

Aside from Leo, I have JuneBug, my mother in law, and I say that in an endearing way. She loves when I take her to the Knitt Shoppe, here in Corona...I love going too. She needed a new project, and I just wanted to Feel the Yarn again!

Do not know where my Photos went, they were part of a wonderful and unusual day. I DID save them....but where are they. I can't call my daughter this late so just to let you know, my day began with laughing at Leo, laughing with his Grandpa Kevin, reading a book....Darn, I've got to find those pics...floating around in Blogtown.

The Park

Sheryl called asked me to meet her and Leo at the ark, so I packed my car, along with lunch(7 points),and this is my Grandson who fell asleep before he got there.

Valentine's Day

Today I wanted to make my husband one of his favorite meals, so Shepherds Pie, it was. I was very happy to be surprised this morning with a gift from him......we agreed to exchange cards only but he wanted to surprise me with something special.....a new Brighton wallet and matching earrings that he picked out himself!

Later on, Leo and Sheryl came over for a Valentine's Day drink and to see Ba June. Leo got yet another balloon (or "boon") as he calls it.

Well I hope that what I have to Blog about is interesting to somebody, anybody. However what I like best about the Blogging idea is the actual journaling of very important things!!..such as my Family...and what they're up to.
